March 6 - "Planning" for our assignment

Sunday, March 6, - a day of rest and preparation for our Corporate Service Corps assignment.

Because of the challenges with my travel to Casablanca, I slept through my alarm and missed the trip to one of the public mosques (3rd largest mosque in the world)

I did catch up to the team at La Sqala which is located near Rick's Cafe - it's a beautiful outdoor, Mediterranean-style restaurant.  Team members had everything from chicken to beef to lamb to goat - everything was delicious.  The Creme Brulee was amazing... (with cinnamon ice cream!).  A good time was had by all.

After a bit of walking through the Medina (shopping area), we walked past what used to be the Sacred Heart of Jesus cathedral.  See the daytime picture and then the evening picture at the end of this blog.

After returning to the hotel, a brief rest and team meeting to prepare for Monday morning, a group of us met on the roof-top patio at the JM Suites hotel to "unwind".  Great time, great view... looking forward to the rest of the journey.

Time to head offline to rest up for what promises to be a fulfilling and exciting four weeks...
